Amnesty 2.0
Octavia Butler's 2004 'Amnesty' explores a near future where humans, when confronted with intelligent and generous alien life, turn to destruction rather than collaboration out of fear of the unknown. Inspired by Butler's story, I worked with four performers to become the stranger-Community: super-curious, highly sensual, and sometimes a little angry. Performers included Ben LaMar Gay, Damon Locks, Jasmine Mendoza, and Crystal Sabbagh.
