work > Memory Loser

A performance about black history as science fiction, involving dancers, puppets, headsets, and turkey sandwiches.

Functioning as a performance and a small chapbook, Memory Loser explores Black History as an expanding collective of dissecting topographies, memories, and black holes. Memory Loser was performed with Daniel Giles and Kashif Powell for Made In Chicago, La Femme Festival in Chicago, and The Chicago Home Theater Festival. Memory Loser was performed and filmed in Ann Arbor, Michigan as part of the Meanings and Makings of Queer Dance series at UM. The Memory Loser book will be published in 2016 by Thread Makes Blanket Press.
