A performance about California and its mythologies, told with puppets, video, and dance.

The history of westward expansion (from early African explorers to Vespucci to Manifest Destiny and beyond) has been a complex one of destruction and negotiation. It's telling is as much a semi-factual re-imagining of events as it is the highly subjective and fictitious story of cultural regeneration. This project was my MFA thesis, involved loads of puppets, dance, and tears, and was pulled off only with the significant support and genius of Shawnrey Notto.
